Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Trần Hung took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ha Giang's Lê Dung played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lê Nga in the 6th minute of play. Nguyễn Chi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hoàng Viet in the 10th minute of play. Trần Nguyets short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Lê Dung to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 21st minute Trần Hung shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Chi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Lê Dung managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Kon Tum's Trần Nguyet fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 36th minute, Kon Tum's Trần Nguyet dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The supporters of Ha Giang booed when Kon Tum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mai Minh Phượng didn't get a good kick on the ball. Huỳnh Ho, 47 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lê Nga was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Ha Giang defense, Lê Nga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lê Dung. The Ha Giang fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lê Dung should have stopped the shot. Nguyễn Chi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trần Hung, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Hoàng Viet in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nguyễn Chi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nguyễn Chi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trần Hung in the 61st minute of play. If Hoàng Viet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ha Giang's Lê Dung played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trần Nguyet in the 65th minute of play. Lê Dung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trần Nguyet in the 71st minute of the match. If Lê Nga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Trần Nguyet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lê Dung. Ha Giang's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Trần Nguyet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Ha Giang's Lê Dung played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trần Nguyet in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Trần Nguyet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kon Tum's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
