Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Lê Nga got the match started through his kick off. After 4th play minutes Đào Thien shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Nguyễn Chi and just under the crossbar into goal. Nguyễn Chi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Lien in the 7th minute of the match. In the 9th minute of the match TPHCM got a corner. Kon Tum's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nguyễn Xuan ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on TPHCM's corner Nguyễn Xuan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nguyễn Chi quite easily take care of the ball. If Nguyễn Lien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kon Tum's Trần Nguyet suffered a concussion after 14 minutes and had to leave the field. After 14 minutes, Nguyễn Xuan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TPHCM and the Kon Tum players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Kon Tum booed when TPHCM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Xuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nguyễn Anh Hung was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lê Nga showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 24 minute of play. If Lê Nga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lê Nga, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 29 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Nguyễn Anh Hung was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Đào Thien's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nguyễn Chi was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Lê Nga kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Nguyễn Anh Hung took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lê Nga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, TPHCM's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lê Nga fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Nguyễn Anh Hung came out of the goal and Lê Nga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Võ Thai came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Kon Tum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Võ Thai couldn't finish the play. Đào Thien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Nguyễn Chi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nguyễn Anh Hung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lê Nga in the 60th minute of the match. Võ Thai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Anh Hung having to interfere. Trần Hoa kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After having played for 66 minutes, Lê Nga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kon Tum's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lê Nga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 71st minute, Võ Thai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nguyễn Anh Hung was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 76 played minutes TPHCM got a freekick which was hit by Trần Hoa. 79 minutes into the match, Kon Tum's goalkeeper Nguyễn Chi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nguyễn Lien. When Kon Tum's Lê Nga in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye TPHCM's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Đào Thien managed to get in a good position for a shot. TPHCM's supporters rose to their feet, but Đào Thien was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Chi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Đào Thien in the 87th minute of play forced Kon Tum's goalkeeper Nguyễn Chi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Lê Nga came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Kon Tum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lê Nga couldn't finish the play.
