Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Võ Than got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute, Võ Than ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hoàng Thanh was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 8 played minutes Võ Than rounded Nha Trang's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. In the 11th minute Huỳnh Tấn Dũng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Loc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hoàng Thanh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Võ Than in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Nha Trang's Nguyễn Lien nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nguyễn Loc made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 22nd minute Huỳnh Tấn Dũng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Loc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nguyễn Loc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Lien, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 played minutes Bien Hoa got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Thai. Trần Thanh Bình kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Võ Than fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hoàng Thanh having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Huỳnh Tấn Dũng managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nha Trang's supporters rose to their feet, but Huỳnh Tấn Dũng was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Loc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 37 played minutes Nha Trang got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Dinh. Trần Teo, 38 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Nguyễn Loc came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Nha Trang's Huỳnh Tấn Dũng. But to his dismay, Huỳnh Tấn Dũng quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Huỳnh Tấn Dũng to make the kick off. Huỳnh Tấn Dũng's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nguyễn Loc read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Nguyễn Lien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Loc having to interfere. Phạm Cadeo lost his temper 56 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 55th minute, one of Nha Trang:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nha Trang. When Bien Hoa's Nguyễn Thuyet in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nha Trang's goalie prevented a goal. Võ Than sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nguyễn Lien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Lien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nha Trang's Nguyễn Lien got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nguyễn Loc made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Nguyễn Lien sent off a good shot on target. Nguyễn Lien's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nguyễn Loc read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Nguyễn Thuyet put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Hoàng Thanh. Võ Than fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hoàng Thanh having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Nha Trang players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bien Hoa.
