Nguyễn Loc didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nghiêm Nhật Minh went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Nguyễn Loc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trần Hoai in the 37th minute of the match. The Bien Hoa fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Bien Hoa's Nguyễn Thuyet looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 44 minutes into the match, Bien Hoa's Võ Than sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Phan Khoi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Bắc Kạn's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Thuyet came free, but Phan Khoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phan Khoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Thuyet in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Hoàng Lien's late challenge caught a Bắc Kạn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Võ Than sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 94 minutes of play, Bien Hoa's Nguyễn Thuyet made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Phan Khoi was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Bien Hoa players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
