Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Vũ Hoang came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Bien Hoa's Nguyễn Thuyet. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Thuyet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Trần Tan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Phong in the 19th minute of play forced Bien Hoa's goalkeeper Nguyễn Loc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vũ Hoang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Võ Than, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Trần Chuong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Nguyễn Loc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Trần Tan made a precise shot to the right of Nguyễn Loc. Bien Hoa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Võ Than was the one to do the kick off. Dong Ha's Vũ Hoang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Thuyet in the 55th minute of play. Nguyễn Thai might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vũ Hoang. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nguyễn Thai ran back to his position shaking his head. When La Phuoc fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dong Ha's protests and gave La Phuoc a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Dong Ha's La Phuoc got a free kick in the 61st minute. Nguyễn Phong kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Huỳnh Thanh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trần Tan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 68 played minutes Bien Hoa got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Thai. Nguyễn Thuyet struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Vũ Hoang didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bien Hoa. After 73 played minutes Bien Hoa got a freekick which was hit by Phạm Dong. Mai Tuan hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, Nguyễn Hieu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nguyễn Loc acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 80th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ngô Anh Hung. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Võ Than managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bien Hoa's supporters rose to their feet, but Võ Than was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vũ Hoang breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Bien Hoa's Nguyễn Thuyet got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute, Dong Ha's Trần Chuong dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. The Bien Hoa supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Dong Ha's performance. The match ended with a win for Dong Ha.
