Nguyễn Teo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Tuyet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Dong Hoi's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Hoai came free, but Trần Dung reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nguyễn Tuyet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Dong Hoi's Nguyễn Hong got a free kick in the 26th minute. Chung Quang was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 27th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Nguyễn Hoai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Trần Dung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nguyễn Hoai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nguyễn Tuyet charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nguyễn Tuyet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nguyễn Tuyet kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Bùi Thien could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Nguyễn Teo made a huge save. In the 79th minute, Võ Nam left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Phu Ly fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 82 minutes into the match, Dong Hoi's goal looked a bit too open when Võ Nam came free, but Trần Dung reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, Bùi Thien got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Bùi Thien managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dong Hoi's supporters rose to their feet, but Bùi Thien was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Teo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Phu Ly's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Nguyễn Tuyet scored to the left of an out of position Nguyễn Teo, making the score, 2-1. Trần Hieu's late challenge caught a Phu Ly's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Trần Hieu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Dong Hoi getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Trần Hieu hit a great ball. Phu Ly's Nguyễn Teo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phan Tinh in the 97th minute of play.
