Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Phạm Hoang came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Nam Dinh's Hoàng Nguyet. But to his dismay, Hoàng Nguyet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 12th match minute, Nam Dinh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Lan to maneuver through the defense. When Ha Tinh's Nguyễn Minh in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nam Dinh's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vũ Viet during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vũ Viet hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After having played for 16 minutes, Triệu Thanh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ha Tinh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Triệu Thanh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vũ Viet got his second yellow card in the match during the 20th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Nam Dinh's Vũ Viet got a free kick in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, Nguyễn Hanh sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Lâm Thi threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Nguyễn Hanh this time. Nguyễn Lan hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nguyễn Minh in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lâm Thi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Triệu Thanh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 34 played minutes, Nam Dinh's Văn Binh shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Phạm Hoang came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nam Dinh reached it. 36 minutes into the match, Nam Dinh's goalkeeper Lâm Thi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Triệu Thanh. 37 minutes into the match, Nam Dinh's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Minh came free, but Lâm Thi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nguyễn Nam during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 37 played minutes Nam Dinh got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Nam. Nguyễn Minh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lâm Thi having to interfere. Lâm Thi made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Triệu Thanh sent off a good shot on target. Hoàng Nguyet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phạm Hoang having to interfere. After the first half Nam Dinh were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hoàng Nguyet made a kick off. Trần Huỳnh scored 1-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lâm Thi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hoàng Nguyet's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Phạm Hoang firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Hoàng Nguyet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Lan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Phạm Hoang made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Triệu Thanh in the 63rd minute of play forced Nam Dinh's goalkeeper Lâm Thi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hoàng Nguyet came free with the goalkeeper in the 66th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Phạm Hoang could save by the left post. 68 minutes into the match, Nam Dinh's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Minh came free, but Lâm Thi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nguyễn Tấn Dũng kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Nguyễn Minh made a precise shot to the right of Lâm Thi. Nam Dinh's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Triệu Thanh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ha Tinh's Phạm Hoang proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Ha Tinh from getting a goal against them. Trần Huỳnh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lâm Thi having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ha Tinh fans cheered their team off the field, for while Nam Dinh had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
