Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nguyễn Tuyet took the kick off in the first half of the match. Nguyễn Loc had several of the Dong Hoi's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 4 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Trần Dung as he didn't even see the shot coming. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Phạm Hoang during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Nguyễn Tuyet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bùi Thien came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Dong Hoi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bùi Thien couldn't finish the play. If Trần Duc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Nguyễn Loc took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Trần Dung to make any attempt to save it. 26 minutes into the match, Dong Hoi's goalkeeper Trần Dung had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Trần Duc. Trần Dung made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Loc in the 27th minute of play. Nguyễn Viet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Tuyet, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Phạm Phu kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Tuyet in the 38th minute of play forced Cao Bang's goalkeeper Nguyễn Viet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nguyễn Viet came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Dong Hoi's Nguyễn Tuyet. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Tuyet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Phạm Phu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Trần Dung came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Cao Bang's Nguyễn Loc. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Loc quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nguyễn Loc made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Dong Hoi got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Hong. 56 minutes into the match, Dong Hoi's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Loc came free, but Trần Dung reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nguyễn Viet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bùi Thien in the 59th minute. If Nguyễn Tuyet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Viet made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Bùi Thien sent off a good shot on target. In the 75th match minute, Cao Bang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phạm Phu to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the game, Bùi Thien cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Nguyễn Viet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 84 minutes into the game, Cao Bang's Phạm Phu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Trần Dung made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Nguyễn Viet made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Nguyễn Tuyet sent off a good shot on target. If Trần Duc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 96thth minute of the game Nguyễn Loc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dong Hoi's Trần Dung was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dong Hoi players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cao Bang.
