An unexpectedly hard shot by Hoàng Phuc in the 32nd minute of play forced truong tan's goalkeeper Nguyễn Hong Minh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hoàng Phuc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Huỳnh Minh Phượng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to truong tan getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tôn Ho got free with Dương Van Quyen in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half FC Đù were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Nguyễn Duy kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. If Nguyễn Hong Minh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 65 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for truong tan!
