Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kon Tum's Nguyễn Liem started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nguyễn Tu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Văn Van Quyen having to interfere. Nguyễn Tu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nguyễn Liem hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Lê Phuong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lê Phuong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Văn Van Quyen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nguyễn Huynh Duc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Liem in the 43rd minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lê Phuong to make the kick off. In the 88th minute Lê Phuong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Văn Van Quyen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Nguyễn Liem made a precise shot to the right of Nguyễn Huynh Duc. Binh Duong's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Binh Duong eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
