Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nguyễn Thi took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee gave Man United a penalty, 8 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Đỗ Nga, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Dong Hung's Trịnh Dong. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hoàng Hoang in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Trịnh Dong prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nguyễn Thi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Minh having to interfere. In the 16th match minute, Man United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lê Hoang to maneuver through the defense. Nguyễn Thi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nguyễn Thuyet in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Trịnh Dong prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hoàng Tấn Dũng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Nguyễn Minh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Thi in the 33rd minute of play forced Man United's goalkeeper Nguyễn Minh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Nguyễn Thuyet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Man United's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Thuyet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trịnh Dong breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Dong Hung's zone, Hoàng Hoang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trịnh Dong came out of the goal and Hoàng Hoang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute, Nguyễn Thuyet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Hoàng Tấn Dũng came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Dong Hung fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hoàng Tấn Dũng couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hoàng Hoang to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Nguyễn Thi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nguyễn Minh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Thi in the 56th minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Trần Ho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hoàng Tấn Dũng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Minh having to interfere. If Hoàng Tấn Dũng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nguyễn Thi during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nguyễn Thi hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nguyễn Thi in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nguyễn Minh saved Man United from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Dong Hung's zone, Nguyễn Thuyet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trịnh Dong came out of the goal and Nguyễn Thuyet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hoàng Tấn Dũng might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nguyễn Minh. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hoàng Tấn Dũng ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 88th minute Nguyễn Thi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Minh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trịnh Dong was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Man United's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
