Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Phan Tong started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. A collision led to Dong Son getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Nguyễn Huỳnh hit a great ball. Lê Van Tai Em didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Trần Hung went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Nguyễn Binh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lê Thuyet who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Hoàng Minh when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 17 minutes, Lê Thuyet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Do Son's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lê Thuyet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 18 played minutes Dong Son got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Binh. After 20 played minutes Do Son got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Dung. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Trần Hung in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lê Van Tai Em saved Do Son from getting behind. Hoàng Mai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Dung hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Phan Tong managed to get in a good position for a shot. Do Son's supporters rose to their feet, but Phan Tong was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hoàng Minh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dong Son's Hoàng Minh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phan Tong in the 37th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Lê Thuyet could shoot a difficult shot in the 38th minute, which Hoàng Minh however easily saved by the left post. In the 41st minute Hoàng Mai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lê Van Tai Em saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Trần Hung made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Do Son's Lê Thuyet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hoàng Minh narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lê Van Tai Em showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trần Hung in the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Dong Son eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
