Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nguyễn Binh got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Chung Hung notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Do Son's Lê Van Tai Em. Lê Van Tai Em was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Trần Nga kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After 7 played minutes Việt Nam got a freekick which was hit by Ngô Hieu. Do Son's Phan Tong got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nguyễn Thanh Bình made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phan Tong in the 12th minute of play. If Trần Nga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Việt Nam booed when Do Son was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Võ Ho didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Chung Hung came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Việt Nam fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chung Hung couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the match, Nguyễn Binh had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lê Van Tai Em. Do Son's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nguyễn Binh was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 23rd minute, Nguyễn Binh ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lê Van Tai Em was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 26 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Dung was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Do Son's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Việt Nam the free kick. A collision led to Do Son getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Nguyễn Dung hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Nguyễn Binh ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lê Van Tai Em was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Nguyễn Thanh Bình showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phan Tong in the 32nd minute of the match. After 34 minutes, Trần Nghiêm-Minh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Do Son and the Việt Nam players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 34 played minutes Do Son got a freekick which was hit by Trần Nghiêm-Minh. In the 35th minute, Chung Hung made a precise shot to the right of Lê Van Tai Em. Do Son's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Chung Hung received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Lê Van Tai Em tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Lưu Nam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Do Son's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 46th minute of the game, when Đoàn Thai after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Việt Nam's goal. Đoàn Thai was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Through an outstanding action, after 51 minutes, Lê Van Tai Em successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The Do Son fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Do Son's Phan Tong looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 60 minutes into the match, Lê Thuyet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nguyễn Thanh Bình. Việt Nam's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lê Thuyet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. The supporters of Việt Nam booed when Do Son was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Tan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nguyễn Binh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Do Son's Lê Thuyet in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Việt Nam's goalie prevented a goal. Phan Tong struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Nguyễn Thanh Bình didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Do Son. Nguyễn Tan hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The audience held their breath when Lưu Nam in the 76th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Lê Van Tai Em's left hand side. 80 minutes into the match, Việt Nam's Chung Hung sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lê Van Tai Em narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Phan Tong struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Nguyễn Thanh Bình didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Do Son. After 87 minutes, Phan Tong made it 3-5 with a short kick to the right side. Việt Nam's Nguyễn Thanh Bình tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Nguyễn Thanh Bình made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phan Tong in the 91st minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Việt Nam walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
