Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Trần Hung started the match with the kick off. Lê Minh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trần Hung in the 3rd minute of play. Lê Minh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hoàng Mai, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Hung in the 6th minute of play forced Long Tan's goalkeeper Lê Minh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Dong Son booed when Long Tan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lê Duc didn't get a good kick on the ball. Huỳnh Hieu Ngan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Huỳnh Hieu Ngan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Hoàng Minh made a huge save. If Huỳnh Hieu Ngan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Đỗ Phuoc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hoàng Minh having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Huỳnh Hieu Ngan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trần Hung hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After having played for 30 minutes, Đỗ Phuoc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Long Tan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Đỗ Phuoc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Dong Son's Hoàng Mai in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Long Tan's goalie prevented a goal. Hoàng Minh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Đỗ Phuoc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Đỗ Phuoc fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Đỗ Phuoc was the one to do the kick off. Huỳnh Hieu Ngan struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Hoàng Minh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Long Tan. 56 minutes into the match, Huỳnh Hieu Ngan notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Dong Son's Hoàng Minh. Hoàng Minh was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Huỳnh Hieu Ngan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hoàng Minh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Đỗ Phuoc in the 62nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Dong Son's Nguyễn Huỳnh got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Trần Hung fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Minh having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Huỳnh Hieu Ngan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hoàng Minh was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Hoàng Minh came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Long Tan's Đỗ Phuoc. But to his dismay, Đỗ Phuoc quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Lê Duc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hoàng Minh having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Dong Son's goal looked a bit too open when Đỗ Phuoc came free, but Hoàng Minh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Dong Son booed when Long Tan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phan Thi didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Hung in the 82nd minute of play forced Long Tan's goalkeeper Lê Minh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hoàng Minh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Đỗ Phuoc in the 84th minute of the match. The supporters of Dong Son booed when Long Tan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mai Loc didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Long Tan's goalkeeper Lê Minh had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hoàng Mai. Dong Son's Nguyễn Huỳnh got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 92 played minutes Long Tan got a freekick which was hit by Lê Duc.
