Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Vinh Long's Nguyễn Quang Thanh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trần Hoang in the 3rd minute of play. If Ngô Liem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ngô Liem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Nguyễn Quang Thanh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nguyễn Thien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Tan having to interfere. A collision led to Hanoi getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Lê Thi hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, Nguyễn Thien had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nguyễn Tan. Hanoi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nguyễn Thien was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0.
