Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Trần Nam took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Nguyễn Tấn Dũng got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 8th minute, Nguyễn Hoai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trần Thai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phan Hanh, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Nguyễn Hung might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Trần Thai. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nguyễn Hung ran back to his position shaking his head. Trần Thai was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Phan Hanh capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Phan Hanh really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After a rather tough play, My Tho's Phạm Tấn Dũng got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 22nd minute, Nguyễn Tấn Dũng got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 25th minute Nguyễn Tấn Dũng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Quang Thanh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trần Nam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, My Tho's Võ Xuan got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The audience held their breath when Nguyễn Duc in the 44th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Nguyễn Quang Thanh's left hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Tấn Dũng in the 46th minute of play forced My Tho's goalkeeper Nguyễn Quang Thanh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 64th match minute, MIAMI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lê Thanh Bình to maneuver through the defense. After 67 played minutes My Tho got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Hong Minh. If Nguyễn Hung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
