Nguyễn Dung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trần Loc in the 4th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Tuyen Quang defense, Vũ Ho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Trần Nguyet. The Tuyen Quang fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Trần Nguyet should have stopped the shot. After having played for 9 minutes, Trần Loc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tuyen Quang's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trần Loc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Tuyen Quang getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Trần Nghiêm-Minh hit a great ball. A hard shot 12 in the game by Vũ Ho from a close distance when the talented Trần Nguyet managed to make a qualified save. Tuyen Quang's players were relieved. Phan Phu took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nguyễn Dung. Nguyễn Dung dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, Tuyen Quang's Trần Nghiêm-Minh got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Nguyễn Dung took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phan Phu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Tuyen Quang's Phan Phu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nguyễn Dung narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Trần Loc in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nguyễn Dung saved Bien Hoa from getting behind. In the 35th match minute, Tuyen Quang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trần Nghiêm-Minh to maneuver through the defense. Vũ Ho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Trần Nguyet when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 37th minute, Lê Tho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Phan Phu scored 1-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nguyễn Dung, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bùi Dung hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Lê Thien was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 47th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Triệu Bay made a kick off. Trần Loc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Triệu Bay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Nguyet having to interfere. Triệu Bay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Trần Nguyet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trần Loc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Liễu Hoang's late challenge caught a Tuyen Quang's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Liễu Hoang helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Bien Hoa's Liễu Hoang got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Trần Nguyet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Triệu Bay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nguyễn Bien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Nguyet having to interfere. If Vũ Ho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Tuyen Quang getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Trần Nghiêm-Minh hit a great ball. Vũ Ho struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Trần Nguyet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bien Hoa. Trần Nguyet came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Bien Hoa's Bùi Dung. But to his dismay, Bùi Dung quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
