Phan Binh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Nga in the 13th minute of the match. In the 17th minute of the match Phan Nam shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nguyễn Quang Thanh showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 20th minute Nguyễn Nga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phan Binh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nguyễn Quang Thanh was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Võ Van Tai Em capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal.
