Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nguyễn Hung in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Tan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 68th minute, Phan Thanh Bình hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute Nguyễn Hung shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Tan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lê Thi's late challenge caught a My Tho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lê Thi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th match minute, Hanoi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lê Thi to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the match, My Tho's Võ Xuan broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. Bùi Thi scored 2-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nguyễn Quang Thanh, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hanoi's Nguyễn Tan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Hung in the 96th minute of play. My Tho's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
