Nguyễn Dung showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phan Hanh, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 5th minute, Triệu Bay fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nguyễn Quang Thanh, passed just outside the right post. Nguyễn Hung fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Dung having to interfere. Phạm Tấn Dũng kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Bien Hoa's Liễu Hoang tried to score from far away in the 23rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Phan Hanh in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nguyễn Dung saved Bien Hoa from getting behind. In the 28th minute, Nguyễn Bien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nguyễn Dung took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Hung, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nguyễn Hung in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Dung prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Hung in the 43rd minute of play forced Bien Hoa's goalkeeper Nguyễn Dung to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nguyễn Dung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phan Hanh in the 44th minute of the match. The Bien Hoa players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. My Tho were winning 0-1.
The wind increased when Phan Hanh made the kick off in the second half. Vũ Ho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Nguyễn Quang Thanh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bien Hoa's Triệu Bay got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Vũ Ho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Triệu Bay in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nguyễn Quang Thanh saved My Tho from getting behind. Nguyễn Bien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Nguyễn Quang Thanh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Nguyễn Hung managed to get in a good position for a shot. My Tho's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Hung was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Dung breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Phan Hanh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bùi Dung charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bùi Dung the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of My Tho booed when Bien Hoa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bùi Dung didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute, Nguyễn Bien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as My Tho's Phan Hanh slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nguyễn Dung. That made the score 0-2 after 92 minutes of play. My Tho's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
