Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nguyễn Thuyet started the match with the kick off. In the 4th match minute, Mong Cai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Thuyet to maneuver through the defense. Trần Duong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trần Minh-ha in the 6th minute of the match. In the 16thth minute of the game Trần Quang Thanh who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mong Cai's Chung Nhật Minh was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The corner ended in Nguyễn Cuc almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Manchester United's Trần Duong did a great save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Trần Quang Thanh in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chung Nhật Minh saved Mong Cai from getting behind. In the 26th minute, Phan Pham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trần Minh-ha struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Trần Duong didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mong Cai. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Trần Quang Thanh in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chung Nhật Minh saved Mong Cai from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Mong Cai's Trần Tran got a free kick in the 38th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nguyễn Mai got free with Trần Duong in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Trần Minh-ha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Duong having to interfere.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Trần Minh-ha made a kick off. Trần Duong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trần Minh-ha in the 52nd minute of play. Lê Hieu got his second yellow card in the match during the 55th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 56th match minute, Manchester United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lê Hieu to maneuver through the defense. After 58 played minutes Manchester United got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Thuyet. Manchester United's Trần Quang Thanh got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nguyễn Mai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 68 minutes, Trần Minh-ha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mong Cai's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trần Minh-ha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Trần Minh-ha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mong Cai's supporters rose to their feet, but Trần Minh-ha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trần Duong breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72ndth minute of the game Nguyễn Mai who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Manchester United's Trần Duong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Trần Quang Thanh came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Manchester United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trần Quang Thanh couldn't finish the play. Chung Nhật Minh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trần Quang Thanh in the 75th minute of the match. Trần Duong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Mai in the 78th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Trần Quang Thanh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester United's supporters rose to their feet, but Trần Quang Thanh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chung Nhật Minh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chung Nhật Minh made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Hoàng Duc sent off a good shot on target. Trần Quang Thanh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Chung Nhật Minh managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Manchester United's Trần Quang Thanh fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
