The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 7 played minutes Việt Nam got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Thi. 9 minutes into the match, Tôn Quang Thanh had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Trần Hanh. Việt Nam's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tôn Quang Thanh was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Lang Son's Tôn Quang Thanh in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Việt Nam's goalie prevented a goal. Trần Hanh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Huỳnh Duc in the 22nd minute of the match. The supporters of Lang Son booed when Việt Nam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lê Quang Thanh didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Lang Son's Trần Khoi tried to score from far away in the 30th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Tôn Quang Thanh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nguyễn Tuan fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Việt Nam's protests and gave Nguyễn Tuan a yellow card for diving instead. Trần Khoi walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Trần Hanh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Huỳnh Duc in the 39th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Tôn Quang Thanh's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Trần Hanh was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Phan Thanh Bình kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Lang Son's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Trần Hanh, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Việt Nam getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Nguyễn Thi hit a great ball. With a little luck, Việt Nam's Trần Hanh got control of the ball when Tôn Quang Thanh tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nguyễn Hieu hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tôn Quang Thanh in the 77th minute of play forced Việt Nam's goalkeeper Trần Hanh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Việt Nam's Nguyễn Minh got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Lang Son players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
