Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nguyễn Tuan got the match started through his kick off. Huỳnh Duc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Phan Hong Minh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 5th minute, Lê Cuc fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Phan Hoang, passed just outside the right post. 8 minutes into the game, Huỳnh Duc cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Phan Hong Minh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 13th minute Nguyễn Tuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phan Hoang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Phan Hong Minh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huỳnh Duc in the 15th minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Nam Dinh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lê Cuc to maneuver through the defense. Huỳnh Duc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 34 minutes, Trần Tuan Hoang mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nam Dinh and the Lang Son players grew even worse after the yellow card. Trần Tuan Hoang kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Lang Son's Tôn Quang Thanh got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Nguyễn Tuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lê Cuc's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Phan Hoang firmly grabbed it by the left post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Huỳnh Duc to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Nguyễn Tho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute of the match Vũ Duc shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Phan Hoang showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Phan Hoang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Tuan in the 57th minute of play. After 63 played minutes Lang Son got a freekick which was hit by Trần Khoi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Tuan in the 64th minute of play forced Lang Son's goalkeeper Phan Hoang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute, Nguyễn Minh Phượng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Phan Hoang came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Nam Dinh's Nguyễn Tuan. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Tuan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. The supporters of Lang Son booed when Nam Dinh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phan Liem didn't get a good kick on the ball. Phan Hong Minh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trần Khoi in the 82nd minute of the match. Nam Dinh's Lê Cuc got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Lang Son's Tôn Quang Thanh sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Phan Hong Minh narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nguyễn Tuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phan Hoang having to interfere. After having played for 95 minutes, Tôn Quang Thanh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lang Son's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tôn Quang Thanh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
