Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nguyễn Lan took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Nguyễn Hieu fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nam Dinh's protests and gave Nguyễn Hieu a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 played minutes Nam Dinh got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Hieu. Nguyễn Thuy charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nguyễn Thuy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Nam Dinh's Nguyễn Thuy got a free kick in the 14th minute. Võ Tuan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 15th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Nguyễn Tuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phạm Khoi having to interfere. Lang Son's Nguyễn Tuan Hoang shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 23rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Phan Hong Minh but with some difficulty. After 25 played minutes Lang Son got a freekick which was hit by Trần Hieu. Lê Cuc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Nam Dinh's Phan Hong Minh got control of the ball when Đinh Liem tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lê Cuc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phạm Khoi having to interfere. Lê Cuc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Phạm Khoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Phan Hong Minh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Lan, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lang Son's zone, Nguyễn Tuan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Phạm Khoi came out of the goal and Nguyễn Tuan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Nguyễn Lan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lang Son's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Lan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Phan Hong Minh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nguyễn Tuan to make the kick off. Nguyễn Tuan might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Phạm Khoi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nguyễn Tuan ran back to his position shaking his head. 72 minutes into the game, one of Nam Dinh:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Lang Son a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Võ Tuan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Nam Dinh's Phan Hong Minh. 1-1. Phan Hong Minh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Lan, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Lê Cuc received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Phạm Khoi came out and tried to block the shot, but Lê Cuc slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 83rd minute. Nguyễn Lan kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Phạm Khoi made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Lê Cuc sent off a good shot on target. If Lê Cuc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Đinh Liem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Phan Hong Minh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nam Dinh's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
