Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Lê Teo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Hồ Tho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lê Teo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th match minute, Ha Long was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mai Thanh Bình to maneuver through the defense. After 16 played minutes Cau Hai got a freekick which was hit by Trương Lien. Nguyễn Hung received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Hồ Tho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Trần Thuy made a precise shot to the right of Vũ Tong. Ha Long's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Trần Thanh charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Trần Thanh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lê Thai, 24 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Cau Hai's goalkeeper Hồ Tho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nguyễn Hung. Trương Lien might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vũ Tong. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Trương Lien ran back to his position shaking his head. Vũ Tong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trần Thuy, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Hồ Tho came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Ha Long's Nguyễn Hung. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Hung quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Nguyễn Hung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Trần Thanh Bình's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vũ Tong read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute Lê Teo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hồ Tho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ha Long's Lê Teo in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cau Hai's goalie prevented a goal. Vũ Tong came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Cau Hai's Trần Thuy. But to his dismay, Trần Thuy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Trần Thuy was the one to do the kick off. 62 minutes into the match, Ha Long's Nguyễn Hung sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hồ Tho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Trần Thuy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Ha Long's goalkeeper Vũ Tong had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Trần Thanh Bình. If Trần Thuy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Hung blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hồ Tho having to make a save. Ha Long's Nguyễn Hung got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Trần Thanh Bình made a precise shot to the right of Vũ Tong. Ha Long's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Ngô Teo charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ngô Teo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cau Hai fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 79th minute. Penalty! 86 minutes into the game, Phan Loc was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ha Long's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cau Hai the free kick. The supporters of Cau Hai booed when Ha Long was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phan Loc didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vũ Tong was a little too slow when Trần Thuy got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 2-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cau Hai walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
