Bac Kan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cau Hai the free kick. In the 3rd minute, Hoàng Tho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nguyễn Tinh didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 4th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Nguyễn Van Tai Em recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Bac Kan booed when Cau Hai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trương Lien didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 minutes, Trương Lien mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cau Hai and the Bac Kan players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th minute, Trương Lien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nguyễn Van Tai Em received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Hồ Tho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18 minutes of play Cau Hai's Trương Lien was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Cau Hai's Trương Lien got a free kick in the 18th minute. Trần Thanh Bình struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Nguyễn Tinh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cau Hai. 23 minutes into the match, Cau Hai's Trần Thien sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nguyễn Tinh narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 29th minute Nguyễn Van Tai Em shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hồ Tho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute Võ Nguyet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hồ Tho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Võ Nguyet made the kick off in the second half. Võ Nguyet struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Nguyễn Van Tai Em received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Hồ Tho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trần Thanh Bình sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Trần Thuy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Tinh having to interfere. Huỳnh Tấn Dũng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Tinh having to interfere. Nguyễn Tinh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trần Thanh Bình, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Đoàn Minh kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Trần Thanh Bình had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nguyễn Tinh. Bac Kan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Trần Thanh Bình was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Hồ Tho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Võ Nguyet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ngô Teo kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Nguyễn Mai kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Võ Nguyet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cau Hai had played much better football throughout.
