Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Đặng Tu kicked off to start the match. Nguyễn Duy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Đặng Tu in the 4th minute of play. Nguyễn Duy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Đặng Tu, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. When Trần Huynh Duc fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lang Son's protests and gave Trần Huynh Duc a yellow card for diving instead. After 8 played minutes Lang Son got a freekick which was hit by Trần Huynh Duc. In the 13thth minute of the game Trần Huynh Duc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kontum's Đinh Phuong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Lang Son's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Minh Phượng came free, but Nguyễn Duy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th match minute, Lang Son was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Đặng Teo to maneuver through the defense. Trần Huynh Duc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Ritchell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Đặng Nguyet hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. If Nguyễn Ritchell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30 played minutes Lang Son got a freekick which was hit by Đặng Teo. When Đặng Tu came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Kontum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Đặng Tu couldn't finish the play. When Kontum's Nguyễn Minh Phượng in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lang Son's goalie prevented a goal. In the 34th match minute, Lang Son was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Đặng Teo to maneuver through the defense. Kontum's Đặng Tu got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nguyễn Duy didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Kontum's Nguyễn Minh Phượng shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Trần Huynh Duc might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Đinh Phuong. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Trần Huynh Duc ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Trần Huynh Duc stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Lang Son's Nguyễn Ritchell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Đinh Phuong made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Nguyễn Minh Phượng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Đặng Tu in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Duy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Nguyễn Duy managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Kontum's Nguyễn Minh Phượng fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nguyễn Duy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Đặng Tu's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. If Nguyễn Minh Phượng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kontum's Nguyễn Minh Phượng got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 68th minute of the match Nguyễn Hanh sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Đinh Phuong skillfully saved the ball. Phạm Hong Minh kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Trần Huynh Duc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Đinh Phuong having to interfere. Đinh Phuong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trần Huynh Duc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nguyễn Duy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Đặng Tu in the 88th minute of play. Lang Son were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Kontum for a fine match.
