New Generation Future's Lê Thuy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vũ Nam in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, New Generation Future's Lâm Quang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dương Teo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dương Teo was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Lâm Quang capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lâm Quang really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Qui Nhon's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Lâm Quang scored to the left of an out of position Dương Teo, making the score, 2-0. New Generation Future's Lê Thuy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vũ Nam in the 23rd minute of play. Nguyễn Bien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Dương Teo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lâm Quang who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Dương Teo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lâm Quang struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Dương Teo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Generation Future. With his leg Dương Teo managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when New Generation Future's Lâm Quang fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lâm Quang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dương Teo having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Qui Nhon's Trần Bay sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lê Thuy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Qui Nhon getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Trần Hoa hit a great ball. Lê Thuy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Trần Bay went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After 44 played minutes New Generation Future got a freekick which was hit by Đặng Tinh. Trần Bay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 47 played minutes Qui Nhon got a freekick which was hit by Trần Hoa. When Lâm Quang came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the New Generation Future fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lâm Quang couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Trần Bay was the one to do the kick off. If Nguyễn Bien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th match minute, Qui Nhon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chung Hoang to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Trần Bay in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lê Thuy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Bien in the 64th minute of play forced Qui Nhon's goalkeeper Dương Teo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Trần Bay in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lê Thuy saved New Generation Future from getting behind. In the 69th minute, Trần Bay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 73 minutes, Lâm Quang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Generation Future's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lâm Quang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Nguyễn Bien managed to get in a good position for a shot. New Generation Future's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Bien was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dương Teo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Bien in the 78th minute of play forced Qui Nhon's goalkeeper Dương Teo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nguyễn Dinh hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Qui Nhon's Dương Teo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Bien in the 90th minute of play. Vũ Nam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Thuy having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The New Generation Future fans cheered their team off the field, for while Qui Nhon had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
