Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Trần Huynh Duc got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Qui Nhon booed when Lang Son was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phan Dung didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute, Đặng Tho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Qui Nhon's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Trần Nam was slow to take the kick. During this time Lang Son's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Trần Nam got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dương Teo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 21st minute Nguyễn Ritchell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dương Teo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trần Huynh Duc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chung Hoang kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Dương Teo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trần Huynh Duc in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute Nguyễn Ritchell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dương Teo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trần Huynh Duc took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dương Teo. Dương Teo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 34 minutes into the match, Lang Son's goal looked a bit too open when Trần Bay came free, but Nguyễn Duy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vũ Nam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Duy having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Đặng Tho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 45 played minutes Qui Nhon got a freekick which was hit by Trần Hoa. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Trần Bay made the kick off in the second half. Nguyễn Duy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vũ Nam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute, Đặng Tho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vũ Nam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Duy having to interfere. The tension between the Qui Nhon and the Lang Son players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Qui Nhon getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Đặng Tho hit a great ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
