Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) When Trần Tan came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Ca Mau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trần Tan couldn't finish the play. If Trần Nghiêm-Minh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Than made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Võ Minh in the 9th minute of play. Võ Minh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Trần Nghiêm-Minh sped through Ca Mau's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nguyễn Than. Võ Minh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vinh's Nguyễn Thuy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trần Tan in the 17th minute of play. When Vinh's Võ Minh in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ca Mau's goalie prevented a goal. Vương Ritchell hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Nguyễn Tuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Thuy having to interfere. A hard shot 33 in the game by Nguyễn Tuan from a close distance when the talented Nguyễn Thuy managed to make a qualified save. Vinh's players were relieved. In the 44thth minute of the game Trần Tan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vinh's Nguyễn Thuy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 46th minute Trần Tan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Thuy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nguyễn Thuy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nguyễn Tuan's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Vinh's Võ Minh got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 61st minute, Võ Minh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Trần Nghiêm-Minh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Vinh's zone, Nguyễn Tuan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Thuy came out of the goal and Nguyễn Tuan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute of the match Nguyễn Liem sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nguyễn Thuy skillfully saved the ball. If Nguyễn Tuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Tuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vinh would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
