Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kontum's Đặng Tu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Trần Tan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. In the 11thth minute of the game Trần Tan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kontum's Đinh Phuong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Đặng Tu came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Kontum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Đặng Tu couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Nguyễn Minh Phượng managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kontum's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Minh Phượng was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Than breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16thth minute of the game Đặng Tu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ca Mau's Nguyễn Than was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kontum's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Nguyễn Tuan scored to the left of an out of position Đinh Phuong, making the score, 1-0. Vương Ritchell kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Đặng Tu scored 2-2 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nguyễn Than, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 70 minutes into the match, Kontum's goal looked a bit too open when Trần Tan came free, but Đinh Phuong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Đinh Phuong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trần Tan, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After having played for 76 minutes, Nguyễn Tuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ca Mau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Tuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Đinh Phuong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Tuan in the 79th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Kontum's zone, Nguyễn Tuan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Đinh Phuong came out of the goal and Nguyễn Tuan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Trần Tan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 94th minute, Trần Tan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Kontum players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Ca Mau from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
