Hoàng Thai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bùi Dung having to interfere. Hoàng Thai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nguyễn Cong Vinh's late challenge caught a NAST FLC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nguyễn Cong Vinh helped the player get up and apologised. Tôn Bay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Nha Trang's Phạm Hieu got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 22nd match minute, Nha Trang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Nhật Minh to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Trần Thuy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Nha Trang's goal looked a bit too open when Trần Thuy came free, but Dương Than reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Đoàn Dong lost his temper 32 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 31st minute, one of Nha Trang:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nha Trang. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hoàng Thai in the 36th minute of play forced NAST FLC's goalkeeper Bùi Dung to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Nha Trang booed when NAST FLC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bùi Thi Ngoc didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute Tôn Bay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dương Than saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hoàng Thai to make the kick off. Bùi Dung came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Nha Trang's Hoàng Thai. But to his dismay, Hoàng Thai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some careless play in the NAST FLC defense, Nguyễn Cong Vinh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bùi Dung. The NAST FLC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bùi Dung should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Hoàng Thai's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bùi Dung was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bùi Thi Ngoc during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Bùi Thi Ngoc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to NAST FLC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Nguyễn Tinh hit a great ball. Nha Trang's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Cong Vinh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hoàng Thai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Bùi Dung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Tôn Bay fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Nha Trang's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
