Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nguyễn Minh-ha made the kick off which started today's match. Cam Ranh's Hoàng Mai got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 6 played minutes, Cam Ranh's Nguyễn Binh shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lê Hung came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cam Ranh reached it. Nguyễn Minh-ha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Tuyet having to interfere. Lê Hung took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hoàng Mai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 24 minutes, Nguyễn Minh-ha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vi Thanh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Minh-ha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lê Hung took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hoàng Mai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nguyễn Minh-ha might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Trần Tuyet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nguyễn Minh-ha ran back to his position shaking his head. Nguyễn Lien blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Trần Tuyet having to make a save. Nguyễn Minh-ha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Trần Xuan fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vi Thanh's protests and gave Trần Xuan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th minute of the match Lý Binh shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lê Hung showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 42nd minute, Lưu Tho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trần Tuyet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Minh-ha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hoàng Mai stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Chung Quang Thanh was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 52 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Cam Ranh's Chung Quang Thanh got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Nguyễn Cuc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Hung having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Hoàng Mai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Phạm Ritchell kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After 81 played minutes Cam Ranh got a freekick which was hit by Phạm Ritchell. Bùi Minh-ha, 82 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Cam Ranh's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Minh-ha came free, but Trần Tuyet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phạm Ritchell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lê Hung showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hoàng Mai, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
