Cam Ranh's Trần Tuyet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lê Hong in the 5th minute of play. Đoàn Thanh Bình fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Tuyet having to interfere. Trần Tuyet was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Lê Hong capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lê Hong really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lê Hong in the 11th minute of play forced Cam Ranh's goalkeeper Trần Tuyet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cam Ranh's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Lê Hong scored to the left of an out of position Trần Tuyet, making the score, 2-0. When Lê Hong came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Dong Nai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lê Hong couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hoàng Mai in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lê Hieu saved Dong Nai from getting behind. Trần Tuyet was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lê Hong showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 25 minute of play. Trần Tuyet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lê Hong, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Trần Tuyet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Đoàn Thanh Bình in the 40th minute. After having played for 43 minutes, Hoàng Mai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cam Ranh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hoàng Mai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee ignored Cam Ranh's protests and gave Chung Quang Thanh a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd match minute, Cam Ranh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chung Quang Thanh to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dong Nai's goalkeeper Lê Hieu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nguyễn Cuc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Lê Hieu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cam Ranh players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dong Nai.
