Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nguyễn Minh-ha took the kick off in the first half of the match. Nguyễn Lien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Lien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trịnh Thien having to interfere. Trịnh Thien didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nguyễn Lien went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Nghe An's Nguyễn Tan got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 17 minutes, Trần Xuan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vi Thanh and the Nghe An players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vi Thanh's Trần Xuan got a free kick in the 17th minute. Trịnh Thien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Lien in the 23rd minute of play. If Nguyễn Huy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Vi Thanh getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Bùi Minh-ha hit a great ball. Nguyễn Huy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rd minute Nguyễn Lien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trịnh Thien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Nguyễn Minh-ha came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Vi Thanh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Minh-ha couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Nguyễn Tan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nghe An's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Tan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lê Hung breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Nghe An's Nguyễn Huy in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vi Thanh's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Nghe An booed when Vi Thanh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trần Xuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nguyễn Huy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Lê Hung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nguyễn Minh-ha during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nguyễn Minh-ha hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nguyễn Tan in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lê Hung prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Nghe An's defense didn't have a chance, in the 51st minute, when Nguyễn Minh-ha scored to the left of an out of position Trịnh Thien, making the score, 0-2. Trần Thi Ngoc blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lê Hung having to make a save. After 57 minutes of play, Vi Thanh's Nguyễn Lien made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Trịnh Thien was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vi Thanh's Nguyễn Lien got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nguyễn Minh-ha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Trịnh Thien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nghe An's Trịnh Thien proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Nghe An from getting a goal against them. In the 70th minute Nguyễn Huy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lê Hung saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lê Hung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Huy in the 76th minute of the match. After having played for 77 minutes, Nguyễn Tan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nghe An's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Tan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Trần Thi Ngoc fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nghe An's protests and gave Trần Thi Ngoc a yellow card for diving instead. A long shot from Bùi Minh-ha in the 81st minute of play was well struck, but Trịnh Thien made a really good save at the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Nguyễn Minh-ha kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Trịnh Thien. That made the score 0-4 in the 91 minute of play. Lê Hung took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trần Thi Ngoc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vi Thanh's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
