With an all-out effort, Trang Bang's Trần Tuyet threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nguyễn Tong, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Trần Tuyet made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Nguyễn Thi Ngoc sent off a good shot on target. Nguyễn Tong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Trần Tuyet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nguyễn Tong struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Trần Tuyet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trang Bang. Nguyễn Thi Ngoc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Trần Tuyet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Nguyễn Thi Ngoc struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Trần Tuyet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trang Bang. In the 33rd minute Nguyễn Tong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trần Tuyet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nguyễn Thi Ngoc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hoàng Mai in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lê Hoang prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nguyễn Thi Ngoc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Trần Tuyet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trần Tuyet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nguyễn Thi Ngoc in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Hoàng Mai made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Nguyễn Tong made a precise shot to the right of Trần Tuyet. Cam Ranh's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. When Nguyễn Thi Ngoc came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Trang Bang fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Thi Ngoc couldn't finish the play. Chung Quang Thanh kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Trang Bang's Nguyễn Thi Ngoc managed to work through Cam Ranh's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Nguyễn Thi Ngoc dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Trần Tuyet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Tong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the game, Trang Bang's Nguyễn Tong nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Trần Tuyet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Phạm Ritchell kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Hoàng Mai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lê Hoang was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The supporters of Cam Ranh booed when Trang Bang was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lê Hoang didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 88 played minutes Trang Bang got a freekick which was hit by Lê Hoang. A hard shot by Lý Binh from long distance, 89 minutes into the match, got Lê Hoang's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Trần Tuyet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Tong in the 93rd minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Trang Bang fully deserved thier win.
