Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Son La's Trần Tran started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phan Xuan in the 3rd minute of play forced Son La's goalkeeper Đào Ho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Trần Tran had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vương Huynh Duc. Son Tay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Trần Tran was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 18 minutes into the match, Hoàng Viet sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Đào Ho threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Hoàng Viet this time. With 22 minutes on the clock, Nguyễn Ritchell commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Son La fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! The referee gave Son Tay a penalty, 24 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hoàng Viet, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Son La's Đào Ho. 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nguyễn Tấn Dũng in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Đào Ho saved Son La from getting behind. 28 minutes into the game, Lê Minh-ha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Đào Ho. Lê Minh-ha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Nguyễn Tấn Dũng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Đào Ho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Tấn Dũng in the 37th minute of play forced Son La's goalkeeper Đào Ho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Son Tay's Lê Minh-ha got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nguyễn Tấn Dũng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Đào Ho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Lê Minh-ha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Đào Ho. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nguyễn Tấn Dũng made a kick off. Lê Minh-ha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 56 minutes, Nguyễn Viet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Son Tay and the Son La players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nguyễn Viet kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Nguyễn Tấn Dũng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Đào Ho having to interfere. Đào Ho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lê Minh-ha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee gave Son Tay a penalty, 67 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hoàng Viet, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Son La's Đào Ho. 4-2. Nguyễn Tấn Dũng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Đào Ho having to interfere. Nguyễn Hoa kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. A collision led to Son La getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Nguyễn Hong Minh hit a great ball. Lê Minh-ha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Đào Ho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Tấn Dũng in the 82nd minute of the match. If Nguyễn Khoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Quang was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Son Tay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Son La the free kick. The supporters of Son La booed when Son Tay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Quang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Liễu Minh Phượng was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 89th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Đào Ho came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Son Tay's Nguyễn Tấn Dũng. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Tấn Dũng quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. In the 94th minute, Nguyễn Tấn Dũng got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lê Minh-ha in the 96th minute of play forced Son La's goalkeeper Đào Ho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Son La's Trần Phuong got a free kick in the 96th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, Trần Tấn Dũng managed to get in a good position for a shot. Son La's supporters rose to their feet, but Trần Tấn Dũng was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vương Huynh Duc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Son Tay's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
