Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hoàng Phuc started the match with the kick off. If Ngô Binh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Phuoc Tich's Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh got a free kick in the 5th minute. Hoàng Phuc scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lê Phuong, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Huỳnh Tấn Dũng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Nguyễn Pham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lê Phuong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huỳnh Phu in the 24th minute of play. If Ngô Binh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lao Cai's Lê Phuong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Huỳnh Phu in the 27th minute of play. Nguyễn Duc kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Huỳnh Phu struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Lê Phuong didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Phuoc Tich. If Hoàng Phuc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Huỳnh Phu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Lao Cai's zone, Huỳnh Phu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lê Phuong came out of the goal and Huỳnh Phu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 37 played minutes Lao Cai got a freekick which was hit by Tạ Huynh Duc. In the 39thth minute of the game Hoàng Phuc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lao Cai's Lê Phuong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Ngô Binh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lao Cai's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ngô Binh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Huỳnh Tấn Dũng's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nguyễn Pham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Phuoc Tich's Nguyễn Tinh got a free kick in the 44th minute. Phuoc Tich's Hoàng Phuc got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ngô Binh made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Lao Cai's Ngô Binh nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nguyễn Pham made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Lê Phuong was a little too slow when Hoàng Phuc got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 1-2. Phuoc Tich's Nguyễn Pham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ngô Binh in the 63rd minute of play. Ngô Binh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lê Phuong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hoàng Phuc, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Hoàng Phuc didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 70th minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Hoàng Phuc ran dejectedly back to his position. 73 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Tinh was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Phuoc Tich's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lao Cai the free kick. After a rather tough play, Phuoc Tich's Nguyễn Tinh got a free kick in the 74th minute. Huỳnh Tấn Dũng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nguyễn Pham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Huỳnh Tấn Dũng in the 77th minute of the match. A collision led to Phuoc Tich getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh hit a great ball. Lê Phuong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Loc, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Huỳnh Phu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Phuong having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nguyễn Duc during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 94 minutes into the match, Phuoc Tich's Trần Dong broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 97thth minute of the game Hoàng Phuc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lao Cai's Lê Phuong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Phuoc Tich eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
