Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hoàng Phuc took the kick off in the first half of the match. Trần Loc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Hoàng Ho fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Phuoc Tich's protests and gave Hoàng Ho a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Phuoc Tich getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Hoàng Ho hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Hoàng Phuc's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nguyễn Anh Hung was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Hoàng Phuc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nguyễn Anh Hung read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute Hoàng Phuc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Anh Hung saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Phuoc Tich's Hoàng Phuc dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. A collision led to Dong Son getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Huỳnh Cadeo hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Dong Son's zone, Hoàng Phuc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Anh Hung came out of the goal and Hoàng Phuc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hồ Phong's late challenge caught a Phuoc Tich's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hồ Phong helped the player get up and apologised. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Dong Son! In the 24th minute, Trần Dong made a precise shot to the right of Nguyễn Anh Hung. Dong Son's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Phuoc Tich's zone, Trần Loc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Pham came out of the goal and Trần Loc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Phuoc Tich's Hoàng Phuc in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dong Son's goalie prevented a goal. If Trần Loc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Pham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trần Loc, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hoàng Phuc in the 38th minute of play forced Dong Son's goalkeeper Nguyễn Anh Hung to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nguyễn Anh Hung took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hoàng Phuc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nguyễn Van Tai Em kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. When Huỳnh Phu came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Phuoc Tich fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Huỳnh Phu couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Trần Loc made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Hoàng Phuc left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Phuoc Tich fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Hoàng Phuc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Dong Son's zone, Huỳnh Phu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Anh Hung came out of the goal and Huỳnh Phu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hoàng Phuc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Nguyễn Anh Hung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute of the match Trần Dong sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nguyễn Anh Hung skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Huỳnh Phu in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nguyễn Anh Hung saved Dong Son from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Huỳnh Cadeo during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Huỳnh Cadeo kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Trần Loc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Pham having to interfere. Huỳnh Phu scored 4-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nguyễn Anh Hung, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Dong Son's zone, Huỳnh Phu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Anh Hung came out of the goal and Huỳnh Phu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Bùi Viet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dong Son's supporters rose to their feet, but Bùi Viet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Pham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
