Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nguyễn Hong made the kick off which started today's match. In the 6th minute Nguyễn Hong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phan Thi Ngoc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Phan Thi Ngoc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Hong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Nguyễn Lam put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Liễu Quang. The supporters of Cao Lanh booed when Long Tan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Hoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nguyễn Lam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liễu Quang having to interfere. If Phan Dung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Long Tan getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Nguyễn Lam hit a great ball. Liễu Quang made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Nguyễn Lam sent off a good shot on target. Phan Thi Ngoc came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Cao Lanh's Nguyễn Tuyet. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Tuyet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 36th minute, Nguyễn Tuyet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cao Lanh fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Nguyễn Hong struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Phan Thi Ngoc didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cao Lanh. The Long Tan players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cao Lanh were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Phan Dung to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, Nguyễn Quang Thanh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nguyễn Hong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Hoang hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nguyễn Hong in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Phan Thi Ngoc prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nguyễn Tuyet might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Phan Thi Ngoc. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nguyễn Tuyet ran back to his position shaking his head. When Long Tan's Nguyễn Lam in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cao Lanh's goalie prevented a goal. After 92 played minutes Long Tan got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Lan. Cao Lanh's Đào Huynh Duc couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Long Tan. Nguyễn Tuyet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Phan Thi Ngoc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, Nguyễn Tuyet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Phan Thi Ngoc. Long Tan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nguyễn Tuyet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Cao Lanh's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
