The audience thought a goal was coming when Lê Nhật Minh got free with Nguyễn Loc in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hoàng Loc struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Nguyễn Loc didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LANGTOFC. Bắc Ninh's Nghiêm Cadeo got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. It was beautiful to see LANGTOFC's Trần Binh in action when he in the 16th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Nghiêm Cadeo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bùi Hieu Ngan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nghiêm Cadeo's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Nguyễn Lan's late challenge caught a Bắc Ninh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nguyễn Lan helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bắc Ninh booed when LANGTOFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Lan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Nghiêm Cadeo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bùi Hieu Ngan was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Lê Nhật Minh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hoàng Loc to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Võ Loc during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bắc Ninh's Võ Loc got a free kick in the 50th minute. A collision led to LANGTOFC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Liễu Lam hit a great ball. Phùng Tuan hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Bắc Ninh's Nghiêm Cadeo got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bùi Hieu Ngan was a little too slow when Phùng Tuan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Lan in the 72nd minute of play forced Bắc Ninh's goalkeeper Nguyễn Loc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lê Nhật Minh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Loc having to interfere. Hoàng Loc succeeded in the game's 76th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. Lê Nhật Minh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bắc Ninh's Nguyễn Loc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lê Nhật Minh in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Bắc Ninh had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
