Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hoàng Loc started the match with the kick off. Phan Thi Ngoc came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by LANGTOFC's Lê Nhật Minh. But to his dismay, Lê Nhật Minh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Long Tan's Nguyễn Lam got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Nguyễn Lam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Phan Dung came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Long Tan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phan Dung couldn't finish the play. If Phan Dung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lê Nhật Minh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phan Thi Ngoc having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Phan Dung managed to get in a good position for a shot. Long Tan's supporters rose to their feet, but Phan Dung was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bùi Hieu Ngan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nguyễn Lam got free with Bùi Hieu Ngan in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 40th minute, Nguyễn Lam ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bùi Hieu Ngan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 44th minute Lê Nhật Minh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phan Thi Ngoc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Phan Dung to make the kick off. If Hoàng Loc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lê Nhật Minhs short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Phan Thi Ngoc to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Long Tan were furious when Nguyễn Hoa was red carded, 61 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 61 minutes into the game, one of Long Tan:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Phan Thi Ngoc had in the 63rdth minute some difficulties stopping Trần Binh's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Trần Binh scored 1-2 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Phan Thi Ngoc, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 72nd minute Hoàng Loc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phan Thi Ngoc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Liễu Lam's late challenge caught a Long Tan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Liễu Lam helped the player get up and apologised. If Lê Nhật Minh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bùi Hieu Ngan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Lam in the 81st minute of play. Nguyễn Lam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Bùi Hieu Ngan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hoàng Loc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Nguyễn Lan fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Long Tan's protests and gave Nguyễn Lan a yellow card for diving instead. If Nguyễn Lam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Minh Phượng charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nguyễn Minh Phượng the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Long Tan getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Nguyễn Minh Phượng hit a great ball. Lê Nhật Minh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
