The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a defensive mix-up in LANGTOFC's zone, Liễu Lien stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bùi Hieu Ngan came out of the goal and Liễu Lien tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 24 minutes, Trần Thi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PHI HUNG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trần Thi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute Hoàng Loc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Võ Lan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vũ Tuan, 33 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Lê Nhật Minh kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. A collision led to LANGTOFC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Liễu Lam hit a great ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Đặng Huynh Duc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Hoàng Loc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hoàng Loc to make the kick off. Nguyễn Tinh charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nguyễn Tinh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Võ Lan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Trần Thi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, PHI HUNG's goal looked a bit too open when Lê Nhật Minh came free, but Võ Lan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Võ Lan came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by LANGTOFC's Lê Nhật Minh. But to his dismay, Lê Nhật Minh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. If Trần Thi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Võ Lan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lê Nhật Minh, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. PHI HUNG were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
