Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Đặng Huynh Duc made the kick off and thus started the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Phan Dung kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Võ Lan. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. After 6 played minutes Long Tan got a freekick which was hit by Phạm Nam. Võ Lan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phan Dung, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lê Huỳnh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Đặng Huynh Duc scored 1-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Phan Thi Ngoc, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Phan Thi Ngoc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Đặng Huynh Duc in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th match minute, PHI HUNG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vũ Tuan to maneuver through the defense. Long Tan's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Đặng Nga in the 27th minute. The corner ended in Dương Thanh Bình almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but PHI HUNG's Võ Lan did a great save. In the 33rd minute of the match, Nguyễn Lam got a very nice opportunity to score, but Võ Lan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nguyễn Lam got free with Võ Lan in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd minute, Nguyễn Minh Phượng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Trần Thi in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Phan Thi Ngoc saved Long Tan from getting behind. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Đặng Huynh Duc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phan Thi Ngoc having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Đặng Huynh Duc in the 53rd minute of play forced Long Tan's goalkeeper Phan Thi Ngoc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trần Thi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nguyễn Lam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in PHI HUNG's zone, Nguyễn Lam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Võ Lan came out of the goal and Nguyễn Lam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Nguyễn Lam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 76 minutes of play, Long Tan's Nguyễn Lam made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Võ Lan was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 80th minute of the match Vũ Tuan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Phan Thi Ngoc showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Long Tan were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of PHI HUNG for a fine match.
