They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nguyễn Lam made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Lê Nhật Minh's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. After 64 played minutes LANGTOFC got a freekick which was hit by Huỳnh Hoang. After a defensive mix-up in Long Tan's zone, Lê Nhật Minh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh came out of the goal and Lê Nhật Minh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Long Tan getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Lê Tu hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hoàng Loc in the 77th minute of play forced Long Tan's goalkeeper Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
