Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nguyễn Duong started the match with the kick off. After 3 minutes, Đinh Cong Vinh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lao Bao and the Lizg players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 3 played minutes Lao Bao got a freekick which was hit by Đinh Cong Vinh. Lê Phuc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Duong might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tạ Anh Hung. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nguyễn Duong ran back to his position shaking his head. Tạ Anh Hung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lê Phuc in the 9th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Lê Phuc ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tạ Anh Hung was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 17 minutes, Lê Phuc made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Lao Bao's Tạ Anh Hung tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 21st match minute, Lao Bao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trần Minh to maneuver through the defense. Tạ Anh Hung was a little too slow when Nguyễn Duong got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 3-0. The referee gave Lao Bao a penalty, 26 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Trần Hoang, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lizg's Trần Phuong. 3-1. Trần Phuong stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Phan Thanh Bình's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Trần Phuong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phan Thanh Bình, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Trần Phuong came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Lao Bao's Phan Thanh Bình. But to his dismay, Phan Thanh Bình quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Lê Phuc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tạ Anh Hung having to interfere. Lao Bao's Trần Hoang couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 44th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lizg. In the 49thth minute of the game Trần Hoang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lizg's Trần Phuong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Phan Thanh Bình stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Lizg's zone, Trần Hoang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trần Phuong came out of the goal and Trần Hoang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Trần Hoang who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Trần Phuong when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A hard shot by Nghiêm Thuy from long distance, 60 minutes into the match, got Trần Phuong's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Trần Phuong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phan Thanh Bình in the 62nd minute of play. Phạm Dong charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Phạm Dong the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Phạm Dong hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Lizg's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Phan Thanh Bình 70 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-3. Trần Phuong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phan Thanh Bình in the 74th minute of play. After 74 played minutes Lizg got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Quang Thanh. Trần Hoang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Trần Phuong made a huge save. Phan Thanh Bình fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Phuong having to interfere. 87 minutes into the game, Phan Thanh Bình recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Trần Phuong. Phan Thanh Bình showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-4. Trần Hoang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lê Phuc in the 93rd minute of play forced Lao Bao's goalkeeper Tạ Anh Hung to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lao Bao walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
