Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ba Ria's Nguyễn Cuc started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Lizg:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ba Ria:s goal. In the 10th minute there was a penalty for Ba Ria. Phạm Tong stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Trần Phuong. 0-1. In the 13th minute, Nguyễn Cuc left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ba Ria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Nguyễn Quang Thanh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Dung having to interfere. Nguyễn Cuc took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Trần Phuong. Trần Phuong dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Lê Phuc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Dung having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Lizg's Lê Phuc sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lê Dung narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 40thth minute of the game Chung Hung who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lizg's Trần Phuong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Phạm Tong took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Trần Phuong. Lizg's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 44th match minute, Lizg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Quang Thanh to maneuver through the defense. Chung Hung received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Trần Phuong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lê Phuc made a kick off. Lê Dung didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lê Phuc went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 57th minute, Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Lê Phuc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Quang Thanh hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute of the match Phạm Tong shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Trần Phuong showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 77 minutes into the game, Lý Hung was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ba Ria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lizg the free kick. In the 77th match minute, Ba Ria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lý Hung to maneuver through the defense. Nguyễn Thuy kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After having played for 85 minutes, Lê Phuc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lizg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lê Phuc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Phạm Dong came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Lizg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phạm Dong couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Lê Phuc managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lizg's supporters rose to their feet, but Lê Phuc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lê Dung breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mai Chi charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mai Chi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ba Ria getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Mai Chi hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lê Phuc in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lê Dung prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ba Ria eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
