The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute, Nguyễn Phuc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nguyễn Phong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Cadeo in the 13th minute of the match. The Tuy Hoa fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Tuy Hoa's Nguyễn Cadeo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 1-1 became the score in the 22nd minute when Đặng Dung elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Đặng Dungs short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Triệu Quang Thanh to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Đặng Dung in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Triệu Quang Thanh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Triệu Quang Thanh was a little too slow when Đặng Dung got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 2-1. Phạm Thanh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Nguyễn Phong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Cadeo in the 33rd minute of play forced Thai Nguyen's goalkeeper Nguyễn Phong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Liễu Nguyet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thai Nguyen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tuy Hoa the free kick. In the 36th match minute, Thai Nguyen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liễu Nguyet to maneuver through the defense. After 38 played minutes, Tuy Hoa's Trần Duong shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nguyễn Phong came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tuy Hoa reached it. Phạm Thanh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes in the game, Phạm Thanh dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Nguyễn Cadeo made the kick off in the second half. Nguyễn Cadeo might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nguyễn Phong. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nguyễn Cadeo ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Tuy Hoa booed when Thai Nguyen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trần Phuong didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nguyễn Cadeo in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nguyễn Phong saved Thai Nguyen from getting behind. In the 56th match minute, Thai Nguyen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Phuc to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Đặng Dung in the 62nd minute of play forced Tuy Hoa's goalkeeper Triệu Quang Thanh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee gave Thai Nguyen a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Phan Phuoc, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tuy Hoa's Triệu Quang Thanh. 3-1. Triệu Quang Thanh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Phuc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nguyễn Phuc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Triệu Quang Thanh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 75 minutes, Nguyễn Cadeo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tuy Hoa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Cadeo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Phạm Thanh kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Nguyễn Phong made an important save on a dangerous shot by Phạm Thanh in the 79th minute. If Đặng Dung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Cadeo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nguyễn Phong came out and tried to block the shot, but Nguyễn Cadeo slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 85th minute. Phạm Thanh who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Nguyễn Phong when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nguyễn Phong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Cadeo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Thai Nguyen's Nguyễn Phong got control of the ball when Phạm Thanh tried to sneak it across the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, Thai Nguyen's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Cadeo came free, but Nguyễn Phong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thai Nguyen's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
