After a rather tough play, Hanoi's Nguyễn Ritchell got a free kick in the 31st minute. After 32 minutes of play, Hanoi's Tạ Phuc made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lê Huỳnh was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Nguyễn Pham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. La Chung in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
