Thai Huu FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Son La the free kick. After a rather tough play, Thai Huu FC's Lưu Huy got a free kick in the 5th minute. Hoàng Nhật Minh struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Đặng Nga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Son La. If Nguyễn Ho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Chuong could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Đặng Nga made a huge save. Nguyễn Phuc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without La Thanh having to interfere. When Thai Huu FC's Nguyễn Ho in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Son La's goalie prevented a goal. Son La's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Chuong was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 71st minute, Hoàng Nhật Minh made a precise shot to the right of Đặng Nga. Thai Huu FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 75 played minutes Son La got a freekick which was hit by Lê Van Tai Em. La Thanh was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Nguyễn Ho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nguyễn Ho really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 81st minute, Nguyễn Chuong ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Đặng Nga was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Đặng Nga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hoàng Nhật Minh, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
